This is a little long, but if you read it all I believe that you will receive something that I believe you already have within.

This is the letter that I wrote that was read during a funeral .

''Most of us here are experiencing something very painful today. And alot of us have alot of unanswered questions about our journey and path in life.

Let me lead you into a world that I believe we all have encountered at one time or another.
If you do not feel my pain today, I promise you that one day you shall..

And if you do not understand the experience of a broken heart as the world rejoices, that too shall fall upon you without your approval. The main question for me now has become ,
"What is this life really all about? I hope the following will answer many of your questions that you will face later in the future. For I believe we all encountered the same things whether it be joy, sadness, hunger, love, or sorrow.
By reading my experiences about my journey in this life, maybe you too will agree to the same conclusion.
So read on and see if indeed it's true, that the more the world changes, the more the world seems to repeat, and stay the same.
(Starting)
"What is this life really all about?"
Have you ever been surrounded by a lot of people, yet felt all alone?
Everyone is searching for truth and purpose in this life; yet, we don't know where to begin this quest for obtaining it.

We project control and confidence when we're facing the world in the outside, yet inside we struggle to put the puzzle of our simple lives together.

We've been hurt by a lot of people throughout our lives, so we close ourselves up to the world around us.
Although we wish to open up and trust others; it takes a lot of time to heal our wounds.

Seconds turn into minutes, minutes into hours, hours into days, and days into months. And then years later, family and friends slowly begin to die and leave us behind to sort things out on our own.
We then realized that we've been spending years simply existing, and begin to question life on a personal level.

Going back in time brings back great memories. Friends would come out, and we had nothing to worry about, except worrying about if our playful times would be overcome by the night.

Pleasant memories were plentiful, but during these times, we had nothing to lose, and everything to gain. What has changed between then and now? They say that "time" changes us.

We work, eat, and sleep on a regular basis, and once you've done that for a decade or so, you realize that there must be more to life than repeating this routine for 50 years. But I've learned that the more things change in this life, the more they repeat and stay the same.

They say that time can't be measured, therefore, time has no beginning or end.
When we begin to lose something in our lives, it is then, that we wish we had more of it. The time that we have lost can never be recaptured. So, how much sand is still left inside our time clock?

We're all limited to a certain amount of "time" on Earth. And if we choose to throw away this special gift we were given, then, depending on what we make of it, we will certainly not be able to regain it back.

We should always take extra time with the ones we love; because you never know what tomorrow brings.
We may have a lot of the answers to life, but yet deep down inside we're still crying out for help.

We criticize others for not living up to our standards as though our lives were flawless. Sometimes our weaknesses and bad motives in our hearts become our source of criticism of others

We need to step back and remember where we came from on a daily basis. And return to the basics of life and learn to listen to the world around us when it calls us to join in its natural serenity.

The world around us is our source of creating our dreams for our present and future. Each one of us sees the world differently, yet we all see the same things in the skies and in the oceans of this world of ours.

Our lives are a dream that we can change throughout our lives. When we wake up from this dream of ours we will realize that we had the power and the freedom to brush our lives with the colors of the rainbow. And hopefully we've learned to add not only extra colors to our dream, but also keys to the doors which open them.

Passing down knowledge in this life is essential and gives us substance in life.
How good things are in life depends on whether we see the glass half full or rather half empty. We need to dig deep and find those valuable trophies inside our chambers of our hearts, and need to dust off the webs of discontent.
I don't believe happiness is a permanent state of mind. Happiness is temporary because people are always finding ways to take your joy away. Instead of striving towards having happiness, which becomes a task to work towards to.
I prefer to obtain peace, which allows me to surrender and relax, instead of striving for something made out of pressure and becoming tired by attempting to obtain happiness.
May the gentle rain of the sky refresh us when we become dry from the scorching words of humanity.

This world is yours and mine to own. I claim it for myself because if I don't, nobody will claim it for me. This whole Universe was created with you and I in mind. And how could we throw away such a treasure that enwraps us with nothing less than love for us.

Happiness is a by-product of peace, and much easier to obtain for longer periods of time.
Happiness is what we make of it.

The more we slow down to this world, the more time we'll have to enjoy the free things that have been placed here for all of us to enjoy.
When we open our hearts to children we can see a reflection of ourselves in them.

Giving our love for free is the ultimate sacrifice that we can give to the people around us. We walk with boldness and confidence but yet our hearts are sometimes as cold as ice.

Looking at the way we react to the world around us, I realize we don't have the slightest clue as to what makes the world tick.
It is easier to criticize others for their flaws in life, rather than for us to face and fix our own. The battle of the wits has begun and where it ends nobody knows.

We need to leave a footprint on this life that will make a lasting imprint on somebody else's life. Cementing our imprints into the hearts of broken hearts. Bonding their hearts with ours and creating a union that can't be broken.

An eternal rose was crucified and its fragrance renews our spirits as it touches our souls from within. Songs of love hover over us if we care to stop and listen, as we glide through life and nature and yet, never hearing the passing eagles wings as they sour over us.
Have you ever taken the time to listen to the breath of the wind as it whispers your name and touches your face?
Standing on top of a mountain and stretching your arms as the wind lifts up your hair and blends with the acceleration of life?

We dance to the same song in life everyday. And yet, nobody has learned how to correctly apply these dancing steps to our lives.

One of the things that has changed from childhood till now, is the ways we approach life.
When I used to look at the skies 20 years ago, I used to see the heavens filled with specks of sparkling stars. But now, 20 years later, I can't seem to remember ever seeing the dome of the sky quite the same way.

The stars haven't changed, the moon hasn't changed, neither the sun. What has changed within us to cause us to lose the passion for life? They say that facing death face to face literally brings back the passion for life once again. But isn't that a high price to pay for passion, and isn't that too little, and too late?

It will become a time of should of's, and could of's. We'll promise to change for the better, if we were only given a second chance to have our loved ones back.
We tend to always come back to our selfish ways and forget about the real things that matter in life once again.

How many times do we have to experience this pain before we realize that this game of life is for real and there are no losers in this game for those who chose to finish the race with genuine love?

What causes us to avoid the passion of life knowing very well that one day we'll regret it? It seems that responsibilities nurture different levels of stress, and anxieties. And anxieties nurture anger and self-doubt.

I'm sure living a stress less life, is the desire for most adults. What have we done in our lives to create such disorder? The only answer I have is that we have forgotten our first Love in our lives, and the real reason that we were put here on earth.

We put ourselves above others, all the time. And as everyone is being neglected, this world of loving people becomes a world of loveless people.

People wake up in the morning and don't give it a second thought as to the possibilities that last night could have been their very last. And their opportunity to love and be loved would be lost.

We go through the same routine day in and day out. We don't even give it a second thought as to the gift of life we've taken for granted. Later in our lives we all complain that we didn't have enough time to do the things in this life that would have made us happy.

The problem is that we're not happy with the Life we've been given. So we pursue material things and ideas that we believe would fill the void in our hearts. The more we chase things the more time we need to chase them with.

And many times these dreams and ambitions that we are so sure are the answers to our lives, slip through our fingers once we obtain them. Finally realizing that they weren't the answers either.

Is the grass really greener on the other side of the fence? Everybody's jumping fences all his or her lives. The other side of your neighbor's fence isn't so green after all. If we only take the time to look closely at the roots of the grass.

We begin to see the real was substituted with artificial grass, nothing so real about it at all.

Is that what we're about? Projecting something we wish to be, but not taking the time to evolve into it. In many cases, the grass is genuine, but a closer looks reveals patches of weeds hidden by a fog of lies.

Isn't there more to life than death? This life has created a mass of people who's only purpose in life is to brush off the real important things in life, and to pursue their busy lives, of obtaining temporary things that will be here far longer than they will.

We're too busy to talk, think, and to question the real things in life. What does the future hold that we try so hard to avoid by staying busy? Our bodies are only temporary tents that don't have a real home. And we all know that we will have to leave this earth someday.

How do we find the answers then if we realize that we're all on board the same ship? I guess it would depend on who's the Captain of our ship; and the type of tools we use to bail out the water with.

Looking at the rubble of rocks being thrown by all of us makes me wonder if anything positive can ever be built upon these rocks of destruction. I try to place these rocks at the bottom of my feet and raise myself above. But it's much easier said than done.

I would like to see the power of love flow throughout my community, so that the rocks of destruction can become pillars of salt. Giving this tasteless world a taste of sweetness and flavor. There's something in this life that is missing that we feel will fulfill our lives. We try too hard to solve the unsolvable, for God's ways are greater than our ways.

Fantasies become our way of healing our wounds, so we sometimes tend to jump into bad ways of living. The laws of God don't break us; rather, we only break ourselves upon the laws of God.

We keep chasing a carrot on a stick. Each step we take, moves the carrot forward also. Making hard for us to gain ground. Everybody in this world is eager to have their needs met, but nobody volunteers to do the serving.

Not sharing is a selfish act. This selfish act of ours will stop the flow of the love and needs that we all crave from one another. People are willing to put their best foot forward on a temporary basis. Look around, and you'll see people arrive at their homes, and then they shut down their lives to their family.

The very core that requires the most of us gets the least. We usually give more of ourselves to our co-workers at work than to our very own family.

Many people are projecting only what others expect of them, and not what they really are in life. The family usually receives the crumbs of our time also. Putting on an act at work, and taking off the mask at home on a daily basis can become very tiresome.

Most of the time we don't even know who we really are anymore. Most of us have been living a lie for so long that once we stop; we realize that we've been living not our lives, but rather somebody else's. Do we have the patience and the self-control to stop this world from spinning the wrong way?

We all seem to be following the same pipe piper. Being mesmerized by the melody that has no meaning to it. Everything we do seems to be done by mere habit. We don't even question anymore why our downfall routines aren't being challenged by us.

We're like a flock of chickens pecking each other for superiority, although our beaks have worn down from constant abuse. Love is not a feeling it's a form of action and also a personal decision. We don't always feel like loving people, and waiting for feelings to motivate us will prevent us from loving at all.

Looking for ways to change the world that surrounds us should start at home. We should take the lead in provoking kindness. I believe that with time and practice, such behaviors could ripple into waves of friendships and create a purpose for living in your family and community.

We are all special just the way we are. Everyone underestimates the power of love and kindness. A smile doesn't cost a thing. We concentrate too much time on the material world, and believe these things free us. But instead, they enslave us by taking our time and energy. We try so hard to provide the very things we were deprived from in childhood.

It is not surprising to me to see then why we pursue the material world instead of filling the emptiness of people with love. It's amazing what we can do when somebody loves you. The fullness of our time is the best gift we can give to people. And the missing of time with our loved ones will become your greatest regret.

Simply look into your children's eyes and recapture the moments of your life through them. The real meaning of happiness is revealed through them. Our past wants and desires, as a child will open up our gates to a happier life.
A simple hug, and love gesture from our parents were precious moments for us remember. And the same is required of us by our own kids.
Nothing has changed from childhood ,except; we've become the leaders in our family, instead of the ones being lead.

Who's the most important person in your life? Look at yourself through their eyes. You'll be surprised as to what you'll see. What legacy of memories will your kids and friends have of you? They say to always finish with a good and lasting impression.

If you're going to rebel, rebel against the nature of evil. That in itself is a sign of strength. How many people do we know that are going against the tide of evil? You will stand out and shine like the heavens above if your eyes are focused on your God your Creator. Jesus is the only person who's died a painful death to prove his unconditional love for his creation.
Before you brush God aside, please remember what he's done for you. Remember to frame your world by the words and thoughts that you think and speak.

We will never be happy in this life because the very nature built within us knows that we really don't belong here. We came from God, and we by nature will not be happy until we return back home.

Our soul craves to return to the roots where it came from. But yet, the unknown puzzles us. If our life averages 70 years, then what makes us believe that running to the mountains of denial will prevent us from avoiding the inevitable road to death?

No matter how hard we try, we can't escape this road of ours, and we will have to turn in the keys to this life as soon as we finish the 70-year-old course.
And the strange thing is that each of us has the freedom to design it anyway we desire.

Each one of us will end up our 70-year-old course at the same location. Whether it is a grave in Beverly Hills or a grave in the slums of any city. It won't matter then what a beautiful gravesite we have, or whether our casket will be made of gold or wood. But rather, how beautiful the course looks that we designed.

It is easier to follow a path already created by others than to dig your own. And hopefully the course that we dig and design is inspired by the Master Designer of all, Jesus Christ.

And if we followed the blue prints from our Master Designer, then many people behind us will choose to follow the course that we follow. And hopefully lead them to the greatest course of all. This course is narrow, but will be full of branches that will be burning with passion and love for the person who planted the seeds of life, our Lord our Creator.

We came to this earth, and replaced the people before us. And then our time will come to depart and be replaced by others. Everyone around us will have no choice but to leave. And depending on how hard we try to hold on to this world, will determine how much it will hurt letting it all go.

Nothing we have will be taken with us, so why do we fight so hard with others for it. Giving ourselves the freedom to let go of this world and to grab on to the world to come will open us to a different way of life. A life that has no ending. Living in the realm of eternity frees us from this world and begins to give meaning and purpose to our lives.

When we're kids growing up we wish we were older so that we can drive our cars. When we're teenagers, we want to get a job to buy the things that will make us independent. When we have a job and become independent, we then try to find somebody to marry.
We are supposed to be become examples living the lives that people are supposed to be living. Reminding them of their accountabilities and responsibilities by the way we live our lives.
Once we marry and learn the responsibilities of raising a family, we then begin to see that this choice is much harder than we were lead to believe.

Then we begin to save a nest egg to retire and we realize that retiring makes us crave childhood once again. Childhood is craved because responsibilities are not in the vocabulary during that time.
Wishing to go back in time and fixing all the things we did wrong, and promising to do things wiser if given a chance. But the reality is that we aren't given another chance.

What is going to become our biggest regret in life? They say that in order to change your future, you need to fix your present. Your present is your future

All of us are like seeds being planted into the soil of this earth.
Each of us are unique and grow branches with time. Our Parents branches covered us with their leaves of love and protected us from the scorching sun. But now their branches are withering away, and the sun is filtering through with it's awesome power.

And we begin to see how it feels to bare the full force of the sun on our lives without the protection of our parents branches above our heads. And we begin to cry for help.

As we begin to grow and surpass the more fragile branches of our parents. We slowly begin to realize that our branches are peeling away the bark from our lives. Making us even more fragile than the year before.

With time we plant the seeds of our own and children begin to blossom below us. We spread our branches wide and try to protect them from the scorching sun. Being able to see from the middle part of life, we begin to see our future in our parents and strive hard to slow down the process of time.

With generations of higher and older branches fading before our eyes. And having these young and sweet branches of kids beneath our wings. We begin to wonder if this life is just about recycling the trees of the wise in exchange for the tender blossoming seeds that we planted into the hearts of our children.

We are supposed to be become examples in this life and begin living the lives that people are supposed to be living. Reminding people of their responsibilities and accountabilities by the way we live our lives.

Finding the love of God will leave us speechless and will begin to free us with his power and love. Reach out for the stars, and if you miss don't be sad, you just might hit the moon beneath it. Reach out and touch him if you dare.
The moon will laugh with us and the stars will sprinkle its glitter as we move closer and take the time to acknowledge their presence in our midst.
The sun is setting. Is time running out leaving you floating in the sea of life, grabbing for an anchor to sustain you for just a bit longer?
Seeing only the past in the ripples of the sea, and the eternal nothingness of the sky.

What is this life really all about?
