His full name is Matthew Stephen Loans!
Matthew arrived!!! Praise the Lord. A week & a half late!!! Nikki was ready & waiting.
Matthew was 3.1 kg & was born on the 3rd of August at 20:56.

Question: We are looking for more information regarding a condition found in Matthew and in Nikki whereby there appears to be unseparated co-ordination. This means that when one hand moves, then the other hand does the exact same action involuntarily. Concentration is required to prevent this, even with normal activities like pouring water from a kettle while holding the cup in the other hand or even while hold a piece of paper still while writing with the other hand.
It seems to be genetic and it is not passed on to every child.

Well, our little boy is growing up fast & is now a whopping 5 months old!
He loves his mommy & his daddy & he has a lovely big smile & a contagious laugh. Yes, his parents are besotted & they are convinced that this is the best baby in the whole world!
He is starting to put his fists in his mouth - a sign of impending teething. He loves to play with his rattles & he enjoys putting different textures in his mouth.
We are looking forward to him sitting by himself & crawling - shouldn't be too long before we have to run after him!
Well, I guess the biggest adjustment for me (Nikki) was realising that I couldn't do more than one thing at once. I have always been able to juggle a million different things - watching TV, doing some craft and talking on the phone all at once, but when this little one arrived, that was the end of THAT! When I feed him, I have to feed him and do nothing else. The result of this is that I had to learn to put up with an untidy house occasionally, because at times I don't have enough hands to keep him happy, and clean the house!
We have also had to learn to put him first. That sounds easy, but when he wants to go home, we have to go home, and there is no negotiation!
Apart from that, things have been pretty smooth sailing. We have had our ups and downs, but that is just natural, and it just brings all of us closer!
We would like to home school Matthew because this will allow him to learn at his own pace. We believe that this is what God wants for our children & we are looking forward to creating a love of learning in our children.
At first we didn't know if the baby was a boy or a girl, so we thought of names for both! Here are our favourite names, & their meanings.
Boys:
Matthew - Gift from God
Stephen - A crown
Girls:
Victoria - Victorious (This was nearly Nikki's name)
Grace - Grace (This was Nikki's great-granny's name)
If we were having a little girl, we would have called her "Tori" - short for Victoria.
